Although I have retired, I have spent time in the department setting up a photographic index to my "museum" of historical computer items. This is a collection of artifacts and documents I collected during my earlier years (from 1956 onwards) at the university. I have already received emails saying that some of the printed items may represent the only copy in the world. There is still work to be done. Amendments and corrections concerning the historical information would be welcome. The collection was in danger of being destroyed by the department, but has now found a safe, welcoming and worthwhile home at the National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park. I'm helping with websites for an Asian Dance group based in Liverpool, Chaturangan, run by Bisakha Sarker, and the British Button Society (see nice images of assorted buttons). Of course I look after the Freds Folks Ceilidh Band, Foresters Morris and Greenwood Clog websites. Then there are the Young Folk (folk singing for kids) and King Billy Sessions (folks song & music for adults) websites too.

We recently travelled to Vienna Austria for a holiday and to revisit the Institute for Advanced Studies where Eric was a professor in 1967. See a 46mb AVI video of Joy and me riding our Segways in the Hofburg grounds in Vienna. We became Segway fans, and have since rented Segways in both Prague and Budapest.
