Prospective Research Students and RAs

If you are interested in becoming a research student or research assistant within the ASAP research group, I would be happy to discuss with you the existing possibilities. Please have a look at my current research activities for details of my research interests and existing research projects. I am interested in any topic that has some relation with my research areas and I am also open to discuss other opportunities for research.

As a research student within the ASAP research group, there are three options: PhD, MPhil, and MRes, all programmes are research based. The PhD programme typically involves 3 years of research in addition to thesis writing time. The MPhil programme typically involves 2 years of research in addition to thesis writing time. The MRes programme typically involves 1 year of research including thesis writing time.

Regarding funding, if you are self-funded or have secured funds from an organisation (e.g. your government, your university, etc.), the next step are to decide on a research topic, find a suitable supervisor and prepare a strong application to a research programme. If you also seek funds for research, there are several options including UoN studentships, UoN Graduate School funding opportunities, UoN International Office Scholarships and funds from the ASAP research group and our department, here we can offer guidance.
