Project Title: Online Shopping system with Database and Flash Demonstrations Student: Monil Parmar Course: BSc Hons Computer Science and Management Abstract: The intention of this dissertation is to utilise the interactive capabilities and dynamic elements of the Internet to deliver an intuitive environment to facilitate the fundamental processes of e-commerce. A principal focus is to form an interactive setting which is personalised for each user. The innovative characteristic within the application is the integration of flash tutorials. Its aim is to help users overcome a variety of technical computer problems by following a series of step by step instructions. This will develop the users understanding on how to solve these common IT difficulties themselves and ultimately save them time and money. And with a high portion of the population being computer illiterate, alongside excellent usability, this feature will create a great experience for customers when interacting with an online shop. The development of this web application is designed to be an alternative to in-store shopping. A key direction of this dissertation is to determine whether an architecture and teaching strategy of this kind does have a place as a fundamental tool within a technical online business system.
