Project Title: Optimization of a Shuttle Bus Service Using Integer Programming Solutions Student: Samuel Handley Course: MSc in Scientific Computation Abstract: This paper builds on the work of a previous researcher on the bus scheduling problem. The work done here focuses on the multiple depot bus scheduling problem specifically with three campuses, however, it may be generalised to more. Improvements have been made to the original work so as to remove inconsistencies. Further the original work has been extended. While the original model was coded in CPLEX this work has implemented it in the Gurobi solver using a c++ interface. A route generation method has been produced as well as bus timetables for both the low traffic and high traffic scenarios.
