Project Title: Simulation and Optimization of Hot Pot Restaurant Queuing System Based on Anylogic Student: Jiaxuan MIAO Course: MSc in Computer Science Abstract: In this paper, the simulation software which is called Anylogic is used to build the environment modelling and customer behaviour modelling combined with the characteristics of facility distribution and personnel division of hot pot restaurant. Nowadays, queuing problem has become a common problem in daily life. The reason is that the unbalanced relationship between customers and waiters. Due to the increase in the number of customers, it leads to the long waiting time of customers, the increase of staff load, the reduction of restaurant profits and so on. The purpose of this project is to simulate the queuing problems that occur when customers enter, wait for meals, check out and wait for takeout service in a hot pot restaurant. This system only simulates the operation of the system during the dinner peak period. In addition, the corresponding optimization method is put forward according to the analysis and comparison of the simulation results. Then experiments are used in Anylogic software to analyse and optimize the profit (objective function) of the hot pot restaurant to find out the maximum value of the objective function. This provides some ideas and methods for the restaurant to make more profit, which is also of practical significance.
