Research

I am a third year PhD student in the ICOS (Interdisciplinary Computing and Complex Systems) research group.

My area of research is Machine Learning for Large-scale Datasets. During the first stage of my research I have been working on speeding up the evaluation process of evolutionary learning systems using GPGPUs.

At the moment I am working on theoretical approaches to adjust parameters in Evolutionary Learning, especifically within the BioHEL system , which is the system I am mostly focused on.

Before joining the ASAP group I did my undergraduate degree at the Universidad Simon Bolivar in Caracas, Venezuela.
