If you are interested in doing a PhD within the School of Computer Science & Information Technology at the University of Nottingham, under my supervision, then

If you are an undergraduate within the school, feel free to EMAIL me and we can arrange a mutually convinient time to have a chat. Alternatively, follow the route below for non-undergraduates.

If you are not an undergraduate within the School of Computer Science & IT, at the University of Nottingham, then you should provide the following details.

• An up-to-date copy of your CV
• Your degree subject together with the classification achieved or expected (you need the equivalent of a 2:1 degree to undertake PhD research)
• Two people we can approach for references, with EMAIL addresses
• If applicable, your English language qualifications, with the score obtained
• When you would be available to start, should aposition be offered (taking into account acquiring a visa etc.)
• An outline of your ideal PhD project (that is, given the opportunity, what area would you like to reaserch)
• How do you intend to fund your studies (that is, are you looking for a full/partial scholarship, do you have access to other funds (e.g. your government etc).
  

If your application is progressed then you will eventually need to fill out a postgraduate application form for the university. If you want to apply to the university generally (instead of approaching me informally) then you might like to do this anyway so that your details are more widely circulated.
