Project Title: Clothes Website for the 22nd Century Student: Lakmini Udeshika Serasingha Course: BSc Hons E-Commerce and Digital Business Abstract: The dot com industry is a critical part of investment in the current high tech world. New ideas are generated every day hence, for the best idea to persist an innovative approach should be under taken. Thus, a clothes website has been created with a combination of innovative functions such as a 2D Virtual Dressing Room, Auction Site and Live Help Desk. The 2D Virtual Dressing Room will provide the customer with a fascinating life changing experience by stepping into the world of a latest development in technology. Live Help Desk will devote the highest possible attention to the customer by providing real time customer care. Next, the website adds a twist by combining the concept of a rapidly improving auction site like ebay with a traditional ecommerce website like Marks and Spencer to increase customer interaction and also track customer behaviour for strategic business decisions. Security features, promotional activity and also importantly easy navigation and accessibility features have also been implemented. The company is able to administer its customers and also assess and make strategic decisions on marketing and research, management, finance and buyer behaviour. Planning, analysis, research, evaluation and several tests have been conducted to verify that the website is innovative, up to date and also multifunctional. Conclusively, the author of this dissertation conducted thorough research which revealed that the above features are non-existent in current websites. The contribution of this dissertation is to propose the mentioned set of features and illustrate how they can be implemented. Thus, the website is undoubtedly created for a dot com clothes company with ambition and charisma and who is ready to step into the world of ecommerce.
