Project Title: Developing a HR System - Focusing on Competency Student: Cheng-Ting Wang Course: MSc Management of IT Abstract: Competency becomes a popular topic for organisations to select, recruit and evaluate employees' performance. The aim for this dissertation is to build a HR Competency System, which is useful for not only companies but also employees. The system is designed for three different positions of users - Employees, Managers and Human Resource staffs. Different roles have different authorities to use the functions of the HR Competency System. Unlike other Human Resource system, this system focus on competency and it can assist all staffs view their Job Description (JD), competency trend, corresponding rate of the job, career plan and training classes related to competencies. Moreover, Manager can analyse their department competencies capabilities rapidly and Human Resource staffs also can realise the competencies abilities in the company through the web base HR Competency System. In addition, Human Resource staffs have authorities to add and modify data. The HR Competency System is integrity and can be used in companies.
