Bowl and Pottery

A wide range of Roman Britain bowls and potteries found which date back to various time period. the Margidunum, Nottinghamshir and Casterton, Lincolnshire were date back to around 2nd century AD.

In general, bowls and potteries that available in the museum found in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and lincolnshire. These bowls and potterys can provide different information. For example, they can provide information about the materials that used for creating bowls and potteries and the way or techniques that used for their creation. In addition, the different types of bowls, potteries, spoons, jars and cups can provide further information about the food and the drink that Roman and British people were eating at that time. For example, the large open metal pan used for cooking on the open fire and the the jar used forĀ  storing olive oil which imported from Spain.
